Once described in some amusing hate mail as "the Bill Clinton of the Green Party", Steve Kramer was a delegate to the Green National Committee from Maryland for four years, and was co-Chair of the Green Party of the United States from 2005 to 2007, whereupon he took over as Campaign Manager of the Jesse Johnson Presidential bid for the Green nomination in 2008.
As the mainstream media generally drowns all mention of the Green Party, Steve figured it was time to make some that didn't. Drawing from inspirations as diverse as Amy Goodman, Hunter S. Thompson, Pacifica Radio, Henry Rollins and Tony Kornheiser, as well as a paying career as a computer guy, Steve hit the Intarwebs with The Secret Frequency just over a year ago.
From his "undisclosed location", Steve continues to foment the subversive values of peace, justice, and environmental wisdom on an unsuspecting public through his propaganda.
Lise joined the anti-war movement on Christmas day in 1972, when she went to a march with her family before the annual holiday party. Her insistence on voting in every election can be traced to having a very politically savvy and vocal father who never actually bothered to get his US citizenship (her opposition to the tobbacco industry can be traced to his changing from a pipe to a cigar). She shocked her parents by leaving the Democratic Party after Clintons first 100 days in office. She volunteers as an election judge, and once ran for school board. Compared to the rest of the family she is not very politically active.
Lise 'produces' of the podcast, which means that she plays around with the website and tries to keep a presence. She occasionally co-hosts the show, when Steve can't get hold of someone interesting, and she laughs alot.
Lisa Kramer serves as Secret Frequency's 'Resident Democrat.' She began her seven year career working in two Democratic communications offices in Washington, then packed up and moved to Indiana to oversee the field operations for an ill-fated Congressional campaign. Following the defeat in the 'bloody' 8th, Lisa spent three years moving around the country working in grassroots fundraising for the Democratic Party and various progressive causes. She now serves as the Policy Manager in a Baltimore-based advocacy group.
Politics and the media have no shortage of villains, but Lisa's favorite targets include: Ron 'Stormfront Ronnie' Paul, Mitt 'Biff' Romney, Bill Maher, libertarians, and for good measure the Boston Red Sox/New York Yankees, the western third of the U.S., and snobby little tea houses in Dupont Circle.
Lisa is an avid MSNBC junkie and thinks Chuck Todd needs his own show... maybe Sunday mornings? She's also the person that draws the ire of others by starting to play Christmas music in September.
She gets her Secret Frequency gig by virtue of being the sister of SF founder, Steve Kramer.
Dorothy, or 'Dottie' as she prefers to be called, is a young lady with an impressive resume. She's been active in community theater since the age of nine, and was the top signature getter for Howard County, Maryland, during the petitioning for Green Party ballot status in 2004. She got the job despite these qualifications; we blame nepotism.
Dottie thinks Obama being elected is the best thing ever, and regrets that she won't be able to vote in time for the 2012 presidential campaign.
A bio for a synthesized computer voice? Don't be silly. What do you think, they have a union or something...?
